Each user would have to make a registry change on their machine, you can not control this from the
web. -- ============================================== Thomas A. Rowe (Microsoft MVP - FrontPage) ============================================== If you feel your current issue is a results of installing a Service Pack or security update, please contact Microsoft Product Support Services: http://support.microsoft.com If the problem can be shown to have been caused by a security update, then there is usually no charge for the call. ============================================== "Tony" <Tony@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:98876DF5-0F65-42EF-A2A7-A473D9E324E2@microsoft.com... > Hi Steve, > > I think as a standard it is opening in Word but inside Internet Explorer. > What I want is to open new Microsoft Word window and open my linked document > in this new, Word windows with all Word features. Hi Thomas,
Could you please provide me with more details on exactly what changes have to be made to registry ? With registry modifications I think it will be possible to create the small text file which will modify registry for people. It is for our company intranet, not for the internet. So, I could email users and advice them to follow my instruction. Thank you for help. Regards, Tony "Thomas A. Exactly - the OP *wants* it to open in word, not their browser (re-read the
question!). "Steve Easton" <admin@95isalive.com> wrote in message news:OuDfUJEAGHA.2812@TK2MSFTNGP09.phx.gbl... > Not possible. Actually it does open in Word (as you will see Word menus) but within the open IE browser window.
