Default 5.12 driver issues

I just upgraded to the 5.12 drivers on Windows XP SP2 with my x850 card.
I'm not thrilled. For some reason my games are very dark and the windows
etc in FEAR are very white now - hard to see through. I used the tool to
uninstall my 511 drivers and rebooted before installing the 5.12 drivers -
I've rebooted a few times ince then and FEAR doesn't seem as good as it can
be. I tried Wolfenstein and a few other games - they are very dark. I
tried upping the brightness in the controll center but then every thing
looks like it has a layer of white over it.

Hm,I never liked the 5.10 and 5.11 form my x850 card,but the 5.12 looks
great so far.
Maybe you need to set the colours for desktop and 3D apps again?
My card is pcie and I use sp1.
Not a great help perhaps, but still 1 opinion.
You could go back to previous drivers, performance will be roughly the same.

do recall some gamma issues with previous drivers, when setting in game,I had
the same issues as you when setting the slider to far."Boe"
