Default Photo Story 3 Cannot Install

Read previous posts, PS3 will still not install. Receiving "Error
28000.Generic Custom Error".

Media player 10 installed, Home Network is disabled prior to installation,
still no luck. Any suggestions ?

No promises but maybe the following
article will offer some ideas;

"Error 28000. Generic custom action"
(813649) Error 27000 or Error 1304 When
You Try to Install Microsoft Plus! Digital Media
Edition

Error 1325. Documents is not a valid short file name.
This is the error message I receive when trying to install Photo Story 3 in
WinXP SP2. I have installed all of the Window updates, Media Player 10, etc.
and still receive the error message above. Would really like to know how to
get the program to install!

Where are you trying to install this to? Is it "My Documents" or something
like that? Have you tried installing it to the default folder? Also, make
sure you have Administrator privilages.

First, thank you for responding...
The initial installation "welcome" screen comes up immediately followed by
the error window. It does not get far enough into the installation to give
you the option of where to install it. At that point, your only option is
"OK" and "FINISH". It states that the installation was interrupted and to run
setup when you want to install. Also, I do have Administrative privileges.

Make sure you have your spyware and virus protection turned OFF during
installation.
