Widescreen Capture

I have shot footage on our DV camera in widescreen mode. Can Moviemaker
capture this format? All video is distorted to fit standard 4:3 format. Or is
there a step in between I must take first?

I asked the same question and here's the answer:

In WMM, go to Tools, Options, Advanced. There you can choose 16:9 aspect
ratio.
