Default capturing video in movie maker

I have a samsung DV video camera. It is installed on the computer but is not
recognised in either the scanners and cameras folder or as an available
device in movie maker. It is connected through a USB cable as I do not have
a firewire connection on the computer. Please help as I have tried everything
and really want to edit my video!!

Default Re: capturing video in movie maker

I'm afraid the two options you have are;
For best quality, buy a firewire card and cable, install it in your pc and
use that and movie maker.
Install the software which came with the cam and use that and the usb cable,
but accept the lower quality it gives you.
