Hello all!
I have a very simple question I think. I searched this site to try to see if this question had been answered before, but I could not find a previous answer. Basically, I need to create still images from Windows Media file videos. I work for a person who uses lots of videos in PowerPoint. He wants me to add a still image from the video as the "placeholder" on the slide. I have tried pausing the video and taking screen shots using the "print screen" button. Obviously, that does not work. - Would Windows Movie Maker help me capture still images from Windows Media File videos? - If so, what is the procedure - Is Movie Maker already on my Windows XP machine as a "standard program" or do I need to download it? thanks so much! -- CT |

Movie Maker works fine... import the WMV file and use the 'take picture'
icon under the preview monitor... go to any frame in the video, press the button and you'll have a JPG. -- PapaJohn Movie Maker 2 and Photo Story 3 website - http://www.papajohn.org MM2 Tips and Tricks: http://www.simplydv.co.uk/simplyBB/viewtopic.php?t=4693 Online Newsletters: http://www.windowsmoviemakers.net/PapaJohn/Index.aspx "Chris T" <ct@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:428D9FA0-5941-44A5-AA6C-9959AFE5C1B4@microsoft.com... > Hello all! > > I have a very simple question I think.
