You can get a DVD Burning Application by visiting this website, www.nero.com
then download the nerovision express 4. This is the latest version that i've found in the web... first save the movie as a dv-avi
http://www.myvideoproblems.com/Tuto...oSaveDV-AVI.htm Then as mentioned above you need to use another programme for the dvd authoring. If you aleady have a burner it should have come with something, such as nero/roxio/windvd maker....... -- Graham Hughes MVP Digital Media www.myvideoproblems.co.uk www.dvds2treasure.com www.simplydv.com "Kevin Humphreys" <khumphreys@hotmail.com> wrote in message news:eNXSmud5FHA.3976@TK2MSFTNGP15.phx.gbl... > Hi, > I have cimpiled a Windows movie maker compilation now I want to burn this > to DVD. > When I go to save movie to my computer what is the best format to use for > full quality and how can I burn to DVD then so playable in a DVD player? > > Thanks In Advance, > Kevin. > |

I saved my imported vidoe as dv-avi, then moved portions to the timeline and
added transitions and music. The Write DVD option in MovieMaker 2 gave me the option of writing to disk as dv-avi or best. The dv-avi takes up too much room on the dvd, so I chose best. Would I get better quality with a different DVD writer, like Nero? thank you! Ignore the filesize of the DV-AVI as it will almost always be larger then
the 4.7GB of a DVD but it doesn't matter as whichever DVD Authoring program you get will convert the file to MPEG2 (VOB) anyway and thereby compress your video more. For a high quality DVD 1 hour of video on a disk is a good rule of thumb. With some software you can adjust the quality to allow more than an hour on a disk but you sacrifice quality in doing so. Usually if you adjust to fit 2 hours on a DVD the quality is still good but noticeably different. As far as programs to use Nero Vision Express is a good one but has a high learning curve and simply isn't very user friendly. There a list of some of the most popular DVD Authoring programs on my website in the "DVD Programs" section along with links to purchase or download trial versions of most of them. That would be another thing I don't like about Nero they don't offer a working trial of Vision Express so you can't check it out before spending your money. -- Wojo's Place: http://wojos-web.tk Also Please visit..... http://www.remember-christopher.dos...om/christopher/ Dedicated in loving memory of our son Christopher Lee "WindyCitySue" <WindyCitySue@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:27A60421-8A4D-466A-AFAE-F5266BD8A0B4@microsoft.com... >I saved my imported vidoe as dv-avi, then moved portions to the timeline >and > added transitions and music.
