dvd burning

using roxio easy media creator 8 to make slideshow. when I burn on mydvd
after encoding and burning is completed a window comes up with E drive
highlighted and showing disc is still blank and the slideshow has been saved
in folders that if i try to delete it says dat file do not delete could
damage system, did not save project just went to burn help! roxio online
support no help , Emachines support no help, best buy no help

Did you read the manual that came with Easy Media Creator 8?

I don't use the program but with most DVD programs you have an option
someplace in the settings to either burn the project to a DVD, burn it to
your hard drive, or create an ISO file. I suspect the option is currently
set to save to your hard drive as opposed to burning the DVD but you will
need to consult your software manual or simply start poking around in the
options and look for something that is as I am describing.
