The Big freeze was easy ... press re-set ... why it happend, is the problem.

This thing aint been turnd off in 3 weeks, maybe it wanted a coffee break ... shame the sound seems to have gone AWOL.

Bugger.

Twas probably the sound chip dying and giving the machine temporary rigamortis

Just disable the sound in Bios and slap one of those old Creative cards in there, you must have a few kicking about.

Sound just stopped ... I thought I had muted something again ... done it before when the phone rings and forgot to un-mute ... but that was not the problem.

So I go and have a look at the config file ... I had done a security update earlier thought that may have err, broke summit ... that was when the whole thing froze ... I'm pretty sure it's the onboard sound, and it is dead..

Floppy, Yep ... I got one of the first Audidiggie thingies somewhere ... in one of the 'computer' boxes I still have to unpack ... which happens to be in my sisters loft.

Maybe Santa will come early this year and buy me a new system.
