Just when I thought my stupidity (and senility) had reached its peak,
something like this comes around to boot me in the rear to remind me that it hasn't. My son visited recently, and he downloaded "tons" of MP3's to my hard drive. I had noticed how much drive space they were using, and I had heard about Microsoft's Plus! MP3 Audion Converter LE [freeware] (which converts to WMA, which showed it would regain a huge chunk of the hard drive, and doesn't effect the quality any.) So, like a mad-hatter, I coverted away, and yes, I was able to recover a lot of space. Ah, now the plot thickens ... I wanted to burn some of my music library onto CD's. I do not have MP3 player. There is not a "reversible" choice that I can find ... once a WMA, always so ?? Does anyone know of ANY shareware, trialware, etc., that I can use to change from WMA back to MP3 ??? I promise I'll work on my stupidity. -- Thanks for any help ---- 25or6to4 |

Well, Nero, Roxio, and the burner WMP uses all burn WMA to CD, so you should be fine with most burning software. What burning software are you using? -Zach -- (speaking for myself and doing this in my free time) See http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html for some helpful WMP info. CDex v1.50 is a great freeware for messing with music files. Since you are so fluent with English, i doubt you won't have any problem using it. (Some people just don't look at the directions... )It depends on HOW you want to convert the music files INTO. Some CD players supports MP3 extension, and WMA extension. However, most official music CDs have extension CDA, but almost same with WAV. If you want to convert MP3/WMA to CDA extension, convert them with the icon "Convert Compressed Audio file(s) to WAV file(s)" then create music CD with the WAV files. If you want to make music CD with MP3/WMA extension, just burn them. Of course, you would need programs like Nero Burning, but there shouldn't be no problem playing music. Try burn some MP3 files and WMA files to CD. If you set the autoplay setting correctly, the music will automatically play.
