Default Permissions i.e username and passwords

Is there an easy show and tell on how exactly to create password only sites.
I really do not want to have to go to a third party like Page Protector Pro
for example unless it is better than wah tcan be done internally in
FrontPage. I would like the screen shot version of the training for example.
Question: do you have to have your site published first to the web before
you can do the permissions etc..

You can only set site permissions in the online site
See http://support.microsoft.com/defaul...kb;en-us;825451
Your host will have to support subwebs and unique permissions under the FP Server Extensions
