Canon i9900 shadows

I have an i9900 and used to get perfect pictures from it. Recently I
notice that when I print photos with a lot of shadow, the shadow area
has a dark green cast to it. All of the other colors seem fine It
is particularly noticeable on glossy papers. The shadows do not
appear on the monitor screen. I don't seem to have any luck trying to
adjust for this with Paint Shop Pro. I am not getting any banding,
and the nozzle test print out does not show any problems.

Have you made any substantive changes recently such as ink, paper or icc
profiles?

I did try a new color management system, but didn't like the results,
so I quit using it and went back to the defaults. I first noticed the
green while I was still using the management system. John F.

I guess another way of putting my problem is that what should come out
as various tones of grey comes out as various tones of dark green.
What changes could I make in manual color choice to change this
problem? I ran both the nozzle check and the alignment test and both
of those come out fine although the yellow looks a little light on the
nozzle test. No bands though.l

ARE YOU STILL USING CANON OEM INK AND HAVE YOU ALWAYS USED IT.

OKE DOKE HOPE HE STILL IS USING CANON AND NEVER CONTAMINATED HIS MACHINE
WITH AFTERMAKET CRAP.

Not some strange reaction on the paper by any chance..? You did say
the test strips was OK but curious if you did the test strips on the
same paper as the photo's you're having trouble with.

If using other than OEM inks and paper anything could happen, in which
case try changing the ink or paper brand.
