Default product keycode


I am having a new pc built, Iwish to load the o/s on it, but cannot locate
the keycode? do not wish to purchase a new copy??

Any Ideas??

Call MS and tell them you don't wish to purchase the operating system.

RockXP will allow you to recover the CD Key used to with your existing
Windows XP installation.

It can be retrieved by any number of programs if it's installed on a
system. If not you're out of luck.

Note that if your Windows XP is an OEM version then it cannot be
legitimately transferred to another computer as the terms of the End
User License Agreement for an OEM version permanently lock that
license to the first computer that it is installed on.

And if your OEM version is a BIOS Locked (SLP) version that came
preinstalled on your old computer then it will not be able to be
activated on the new system (licensing niceties aside) unless that
motherboard is from the same OEM that provided the old computer.
