My Dell 962 just ran out of Black ink and I've successfully refilled it. It
looks good and I'm happy. My question however, is how do I convince the Dell software that the cartridge has been replaced and to stop nattering me about how it's near empty and going to run out at any moment? On previous printers I could just tell the software that I'd replaced the cartridge and it would take my word for it. Dell apparently knows somehow that it's the same cartridge. Thanks... Bill |

I'm wondering why you mentioned Lexmark in the subject -- is
it because these are the same printer? If so, my advice is to take the Lexmark and a concrete block, then go up to the roof of your house or business and drop the Lexmark off the side of the building. Then throw the concrete block on top of it. In other words, Lexmark is crap. Thank you for your well reasoned (?) opinion. My opinion is the all of the
Lexmark printers I've ever had worked very well. They're not photo printers, but then I can't understand why anyone would want to print photos at home, at great expense, and get an end result inferior to a local store's photo process. As printers capable of business graphics I find them very useful.
