I have two computers, one a desktop, the other a laptop. Both are
running XP with SP2. For both, if I access the "set time" function there are 3 tabs, the right one being Internet Time. I have accessed computers at two other locations, one using laptops, the other desktops. They are using XP with SP2 BUT neither location has this third tab "internet time" available for the set time function. Can any one tell me why. Don Jacobs |

Maybe those machines are joined to a domain.

the internet time tab will not appear when the computer is part of a domain
because it will sync the clock with a domain controller if you want to get around this, you can set it from the command line by using "net time /setsntp:<timeserver>" "Donald Jacobs" <donaldjacobs@sprintmail.com> wrote in message news:eUKDDzFwFHA.2232@TK2MSFTNGP11.phx.gbl... >I have two computers, one a desktop, the other a laptop. Thanks to Seth and David Martin for the info. You were both right, the
machines are in a public school classrooms. The absence of the 3rd tab now makes sense. Don Jacobs Daniel Martín wrote: > Maybe those machines are joined to a domain. > |
