I typed a new paragraph onto my homepage (index.htm) inside the table inside
a cell & it shows up fine in normal & preview views. It shows up fine in browser preview. But when I publish it is not there on the website! I have other paragraphs showing up just fine that I've added in the past. I'm new to this as of three months ago, but feel like I've spent every waking hour learning frontpage & html since then, so I know a LITTLE, enough to be dangerous, probably! If anyone has an idea, please help. But keep as simple as possible! Thanks, Phyllis |

Open your website and then see if it contains both an index.html page and an
index.htm page. You can do this by adding the file names to your URL www.yourwebsite.com/index.htm www.yourwebsite.com/index.html If they are both there and your changes show in index.htm, then open FrontPage open your local site, and in folder view rename index.htm to index.html Let FrontPage update links when prompted, and then publish your web. You can then delete index.htm from the server. -- Steve Easton Microsoft MVP FrontPage 95isalive This site is best viewed............ ........................with a computer "sillyhp" <sillyhp@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:493DD3CA-4809-4345-8CE0-CAAF0890C97E@microsoft.com... > I typed a new paragraph onto my homepage (index.htm) inside the table inside > a cell & it shows up fine in normal & preview views. My website has both the index.htm and index.html and neither one show the
changes. Should there only be one? In frontpage it's named index.htm. Also, I moved the link bar to a different cell the same time I typed a new paragraph & it isn't showing up online either. I have another link bar I created in a picture on my home page, so I still have links, just the link bar I had at the bottom of the page isn't showing up online. I deleted the paragraph in frontpage, published again, & the link bar still isn't there. There should only be one and the correct one is the one your host requires as a home page file name
If you have created index.htm (and not index.html) in your local PC version of the site, - then most likely your host requires index.html (FP created that when you published since this is probably what your host requires) Rename index.htm to index.html and publish again -- _____________________________________________ SBR @ ENJOY (-: [ Microsoft MVP - FrontPage ] "Warning - Using the F1 Key will not break anything!"
