it's underneath the scanner. lift up the scanner and look at the
bottom, there should be a slid with an illustration of a closed lock (locked) and open lock (unlocked). hope it helps, Danny BILU@webtv.net wrote: > My cousin gave me this scanner - a few years old, but never out of the > box. Danny,
Why do you always have multiple posts in here? Posts do not show immediately in the News Groups, wait a few minutes (not seconds) before sending again. Only send once. It takes time for these posts to travel to all the servers in the world. -- CSM1 http://www.carlmcmillan.com -- "Danny" <dha2@comcast.net> wrote in message news:1126063913.684217.34540@g14g2000cwa.googlegroups.com... > it's underneath the scanner. lift up the scanner and look at the > bottom, there should be a slid with an illustration of a closed lock > (locked) and open lock (unlocked). > > hope it helps, > > Danny > BILU@webtv.net wrote: >> My cousin gave me this scanner - a few years old, but never out of the >> box. Many thanks to you who responded. Still can't find a lock slide, but
that doesn't seem to be a problem anyway. When I used the troubleshooting page, Windows told me that "this software has not passed Windows Logo testing to verify its compatability with XP. ....... The driver cannot be installed because it is not digitally signed or not signed in the appropriate place". HUH? What does that mean? ............ lulu Live well, laugh often, love much. |

Click "Continue anyway" everything will work as it is supposed to. If you read the installation instructions that is often on the web site where you download the software, there are instructions to do exactly that. -- CSM1 http://www.carlmcmillan.com -- |

sorry about that carl~ I'm kinda new to this
btw- you're absolutly correct about the logo testing message... because the scanner is usb, if you don't click "continue anyway" when that message appears, the scanner won't work. |
