I haven't had the chance to play with a battery-free wireless mouse, but I am still using the A4 Keyboard and Mouse set that I reviewed a while ago and it is still working fine (considering the daily abuse it gets, I'm impressed!).

My main PC has crashed (mobo gone haywire) and I'm about to put all my kit into storage whle I get my house overhauled, so I'm using a notebook, and the mouse works really well with it. __________________ 1nteger: A whole number Windows is now a 64 bit tweak of a 32 bit extension to a 16 bit user interface for an 8 bit operating system based on a 4 bit architecture from a 2 bit company that can't stand 1 bit of competition...So why the hell have I bought Vista? Hi mucks! I think there's so little technical gubbins to this mouse and pad that I wouldn't be surprised if it lasted for years....probably outlive USB technology at least!

If I read u right I agree, our sights have been lowered to some extent. I have to admit though, that I expected a price tag of more tha �15 for this mouse...so I was pleasantly surprised. It's interesting that it is being touted as 'the world's first battery-free mouse'....a misnoma but clever as well. The more I learn about IT technology, the more I realise how easy it is to sell an simple idea as magic to the unsuspecting public....do you agree?
