blank preview screen in wmm

I cannot view the movie in the preview screen while the timeline is playing.
I can hear it, and the bar is moving down the timeline when i hit play,
however the preview screen/monitor is blank. when i save the movie and play
in wmp i can see and hear the movie. Editing is difficult when u can't see
what u r doing!
Is this a memory issue?

Yep, this often happens when you try to edit mpegs, which MM doesn't like.

Ok so i downloaded the program and it says n.a to the codecs for all video
files. they are not mpegs. i captured them as avi files using wmm. now
what?

How did yopu capture them with MM, from camcorder using firewire?? What cam
etc..
It's odd that Gspot reports back with a NA?????

recommended option as well as the avi option - both have same result. Do i

If you have installed a codec pack, some of these come riddled with spyware.
It may be a problem you have. Try running adaware/spyware
blaster/spybot/cwshredder.

Has MM ever worked or has it always been like this?

uninstall it?

I would try that yes. Did you run the other adware/spyware apps, they all
detect different ones and need to be used together.
