"Unknown Hard Error"/PID

I have recently received two "unknown hard error"
messages, one that resulted in a blue screen and another
that resulted in a lock up. Both froze up the computer.
In trying to get online help, I was unable to obtain my
PID number as when go through the Help & Support
function, I get a "Object doesn't support this property
or method" message at 66%. Has anyone seen this before?
