Default FP 2002: "Requesting Data"...driving me nuts!

I just had to reformat my computer and reinstall all programs. All my
Office applications are OK except Front Page: whenever I open a web to work
on it, as soon as I open a page to edit it, my mouse hourglass starts
spinning and the line "Requesting Data" is in the lower left of the FP
window. The hourglass never stops, making it hard to close a window since
you never get your mouse cursor back as it's "busy".

I didn't have this program before when I reformatted. Does anyone know why
it's 'requesting data' and how I can stop this behavior??

Well, if you reformatted the drive and re-installed all programs, the web no longer exists on your
machine.

If it has been published to a server, you need to open the server version and publish it back to a
location on your hard drive.

I restored the folder My Webs from a backup of My Documents on the drive
before I reformatted it. I wasn't using Front Page to publish the web as I
prefer uploading via WS FTP Pro.

Is there some setting or something I'm not doing right? I've reformatted
before and never had this problem.

I hope someone can help because this problem really is annoying. I have
tried opening a blank web and then sneaking copies of my pages into the new
folder, but it still is giving the message "Requesting Data" and hanging up
my mouse.

I sure never had this problem before. ???

You need to look at the code of page to try and determine what external element it is trying to
load, then remove it or skip the page.

There is a google search bar, HOWEVER, as I said, when I used this very same
web previously before my machine was reformatted, this did NOT happen with
FP.

That indicates your internet connections settings or proxy are not the same as before you reformatted
