Default Correct cable for HP 4ML to JetDirect +3?

Hi. Missing all the paperwork for my HP printer - usually have
connected via AppleTalk but trying to use a new JetDirect print server
and thought the cable needed was going to be parallel connectors on both
ends, which is apparently no the case. What am I looking for to connect
the two?? (JetDirect looks like a 25 pin connector (?!) - the 4ML looks
like it accepts a male connector with contacts on both outside walls of
the connector) - Thanks! - Dan

Seems to be a standard parallel printer cable what you need. The
connectors _are_ different on either side. Look at that picture:

Best wishes, Christian

The 4ML has Appletalk and a Centronics parallel port.
The printer port is as you describe, looks quite different from the PC
(or JetDirect) end (25 pins).
Connect them with a normal PC Centronics printer cable from any
computer store.

You can find some info about the 4ML at
<http://www.nefec.org/UPM/printers/mhp4l.htm> (see "interfaces")
and <http://www.printerworks.com/Printers/LaserJet4ML.html> and linked

Thanks Alan and Christin! Picked up the cables you suggested and it
works fine. Now I have to find the software for the JetDirect! Dan
