Is there a device I can put between my video to be able to switch
between 2 monitors? I want to use my good monitor for gaming only, and my crappy monitor for internet. Can anyone point me to devices that do this? -- "Politics does not make strange bedfellows. Marriage does." -- Groucho Marx |

It's called a VGA Y splitter, and they're not too expensive. It will basically clone your display onto both monitors at once. Most new video cards also have "dual head" capability, where you can hook two monitors up to your single video card and do basically the same thing. |

Here's a good example at buy.com: http://www.buy.com/retail/product.a...36&sp=1&loc=101 |

If you have a reasonably modern graphics card with a DVI and VGA port then you can do what you want easily. Simply get hold of a DVI>VGA adapter dongle (mine came with the card) and hook up the second monitor. You can then go into display properties and select which monitor you care to use. |

I've never tried it but you might be able to do this with most KVMs, providing you have the correct cables... instead of 1 male plug for a single monitor and 2 or more for the systems, use 2 male and 1 female terminated cables. |
