Default printserver for Epson USB printer (R200)?

I need to get a printserver with a USB port for an Epson R200 and was
wondering if anyone had found specific printservers that work fine with it
(Epson won't commit to what WILL work, but says many WON'T work and again
doesn't name names or models). I haven't decided (yet) whether I want
hardwired or WI-FI so suggestion for both are very welcome. BTW, if you've
got something working with an Epson R300, R300M, or R800 that info would be
welcome info as well because I'd expect mine to work with the same
printservers.

TIA,
George

Is anyone out there using a USB printserver? (a printserver that connects a
USB printer to your network)

We have an AXIS1440 print server that connects to the parallel port of
our Epson 740 printer. (This was one of the first printers to come with a
USB port, but it also had a parallel port.) For years we used this as a
network printer. I had it working with Mac OS 9 and with Windows NT 4.0.
While it still functions, it was easier to buy multiple printers (at $60
each) than it was to keep this print server going. The Macs are running OS X
now and the Thinkpad runs Windows 2000. I have not taken the time (several
hours) to find, download, install, and debug new drivers.

For parallel printers, I use a Linksys EPSX3 (3 parallel ports) with a HP
LaserJet 4L and HP DeskJet 970CXi and it works reasonably well. But now, I
also have an Epson USB only printer that I want to add to my home network
and when I asked Epson support they said that it won't work "with all USB
printservers" (without naming what it was known to work with or known not to
work with) so I'd like to find out what it DOES work with before buying
one...especially since I live in a rural area so returns would be quite a
pain. Has anyone tried USB printservers with recent Epson USB printers???

Check offerings from DLink, Linksys, and Netgear. Word on the street
suggests the Linksys USB print server works well.
