Hey all...
I am having one really strange problem. So I have installed a new celeron 1.7Ghz on Asus P4B connected all well clicked computer to start and nothing...cooler is running (on cpu and on power supply), but no bios sounds or something which could tell me what's wrong. Green led on case is on, and red one is flashing continously. CD rom led is also acting as red (ide) led. I tried all what I have remembered can any one tell me what to do next??? Thanks Milan |

Also checking to see if the CPU heatsink is firmly and properly attached? The heatsink *CAN* be installed backwards and this has prevented post in the past. If you can I would try another CPU that you know is good and see if it has the same problem. |

On motherboard is just cpu. I have tried to play with jumpers and then I got my motherboard to talk It said that there is CPU failure test(something like that). When I set i on jumper free mode everything went back on sound of fans and light show with led's... I did CLRCMOS couple times again but nothing. Is this problem just good for taking motherboard to store where it came from? Do you have any other ideas? Thanks Milan |
