just bought an OEM one for 96 dollars shipped...couldnt pass up the price
anyone have experience with one? thank in advance GT |

I have written to CD-R , DVD-RW(1x) and DVD-R(4x) with no coasters. I did try making a few movie DVDs on the DVD-R disks, all worked in standard TV connected DVD players. I have not tried any 8x disks as I cannot find any locally, and have not got round to ordering any yet. James |

Its pretty popular. This guy named Herrie has a website in which he provides uptodate and hacked firmware for NECs though I think it mostly the 4x version , he does have a few firmwares for the 2500. Generally excellent feedback for the drive that Ive seen. |
