Default Computer freezes after closing Internet Explorer (HELP)


Yes, the computer freezes after I close Internet Explorer. It un-freezes after a couple of minutes. I cannot open anything except Task manager, I have un-installed IE and re-installed it with the same problem. Anyone out there have any ideas? I am using Windows XP with plenty of ram. Internet Explorer Ver. 6.0.28
