Hello,
my NOD32 finds always 9 infected files and it doesn't succeed to delete or clean them. I also made a manual scan with "Clean" button but nothing. They are in Temporary Internet Files ..... and they are: "Win32/TrojanDownloader.Ramech.C Trojan" Sure I have deleted them manually by Internet Explorer with "Delete Files" button but I'd like to know if really NOD32 is a so inoffensive antivirus with trojans. thanks bye Jones |

Not in the true sense in the replication meaning but Anti Virus products do afford
protection from many forms of Malware not just TRUE viruses. Dave "Conor" <conor.turton@gmail.com> wrote in message news:1100273654.sNcE5WoO5IaPRsBpbpAUzg@teranews... | Clue is in the name. A Trojan is not a virus. NOD32 is Anti-VIRUS software. | | -- | Conor | | Opinions personal, facts suspect. |

1) Download the following three items...
Trend Sysclean Package http://www.trendmicro.com/download/dcs.asp Latest Trend signature files. http://www.trendmicro.com/download/pattern.asp Adaware SE (free personal version v1.05) http://www.lavasoftusa.com/ Create a directory. On drive "C:\" (e.g., "c:\New Folder") or the desktop (e.g., "C:\Documents and Settings\lipman\Desktop\New Folder") Download SYSCLEAN.COM and place it in that directory. Download the Trend Pattern File by obtaining the ZIP file. For example; lpt246.zip Extract the contents of the ZIP file and place the contents in the same directory as SYSCLEAN.COM. 2) Update Adaware with the latest definitions. 3) If you are using WinME or WinXP, disable System Restore http://vil.nai.com/vil/SystemHelpDo...eSysRestore.htm 4) Reboot your PC into Safe Mode 5) Using both the Trend Sysclean utility and Adaware, perform a Full Scan of your platform and clean/delete any infectors/parasites found. (a few cycles may be needed) 6) Restart your PC and perform a "final" Full Scan of your platform using both the Trend Sysclean utility and Adaware 7) If you are using WinME or WinXP,Re-enable System Restore and re-apply any System Restore preferences, (e.g. HD space to use suggested 400 ~ 600MB), 8) Reboot your PC. 9) If you are using WinME or WinXP, create a new Restore point * * * Please report back your results * * * Dave "Jones" <ijones@hotmail.com> wrote in message news:hhi9p05gjdonmliucooskv5cuo6lb3d7bi@4ax.com... | Hello, | my NOD32 finds always 9 infected files and it doesn't succeed to | delete or clean them. | I also made a manual scan with "Clean" button but nothing. | They are in Temporary Internet Files ..... and they are: | "Win32/TrojanDownloader.Ramech.C Trojan" | Sure I have deleted them manually by Internet Explorer with "Delete | Files" button but I'd like to know if really NOD32 is a so | inoffensive antivirus with trojans. | thanks | | bye Jones |

You should send an email to Eset's webmaster then, there's an error on one of their pages: Quote: "Viruses, worms, trojans and other malware are kept out of striking distance of your valuable data." Doesn't anybody use POP3 Scan Mailbox any more? It solves all my email
problems. In seven years I've never had a virus problem, what with POP3 SM and NOD32 on the case. s. David H.
