I visited a friend tonight who has an email problem I was unable to fix.
He uses Win98 and Outlook. He can send emails OK, but when he sends one with an attachment, multiple emails are sent to the recipient. I got him to send a test email to my hotmail account and when I checked my inbox, it was full as a result of all the emails I had received from him. I'm aware that most viruses send emails to multi addresses, but this situation seems most strange. Could someone offer any advice as to what is going on. I would be most appreciative. Merv |

HI,
If its the one attachment being split across multiple messages it sounds like the attachments are being broken apart... Check (Assuming this is Outlook Express): In Tools/Accounts look at the mail account they use to send email, and check on the Advanced Tab There is a Section "Sending--------------------" which says something like "Break Apart Attachments Larger than:" and a Drop box (Default 60K?) This does not generally need to be enabled. I think that may be your problem...
