Default bogus out-going e-mails

Over the past couple of months I've had a number of e-mails from different
'postmasters' telling me that they have been unable to deliver e-mails that
I have sent. When I look at the details, however, I find that I never sent
them in the first place. The 'sender's' e-mail address is certainly mine (in
fact I have two e-mail addresses and this has happened with both) but I have
not sent the e-mails.
I have done a full 'all-file' scan with McAfee and no virus's of any
description are found. Anyone any idea what's going on?

Kev

It's part of life now because of malware that confuse the actual
sender. Someone infected has your email addy on his or her PC.

In addition to Art's comments: Spammers often use valid
addresses (in this case yours) in the "From" field.
