This may sound like a stupid question but I wonder if you can help me. I
have downloaded Avast 4.1 free anti-virus. What I want to know is how can you tell if Avast has scanned the boot records every time the computer starts? Is there a way to force Avast to do this on starting the PC? For information I use Windows XP Pro. I hope you understand what I mean and I hope someone is able to help me. I appreciate any help and information given. Thanks in advance! |

Hi Neil
Right click on the blue ball (with an "a") in your task bar. Left click on "Start AVAST! Antivirus". Right click anywhere on the Avast control panel. Left click on "Schedule Boot-Time Scan" Select desired boxes etc. Left click "Schedule" You will know when this scan takes place. Just stick around during the boot process.
