I think that I am dealing with a worm or virus I want to get a second
opinion. When my HP Pavilion 511w starts up, it takes a long time to load my settings ( 3 to 5 minutes ) while my desktop loads the cursur continues to show a hour glass. NT ON-Access scanner service has encountered an error and in the window it says that the virus scan online has expired. Then it brings up my dial up connection to access the internet. Once my connects to the internet thats my taskbar comes up and a internet explorer tries to go to this page WWW.sqwire.com/homepage comes up and says cannot find server. Another browser opens and say action canceled. My system is slow and my system idle process is constantly in the 78%. This has to be a virus! I don't want to reinstall the operating system unless I have to. Has anyone seen this before? |

I never thought I'd have as many as I have. I go through an average of 100 a month, just backing up files I want to keep. Everything I need to redo my computer is on CD. -*MORT*- |
