trojan_small / ctrlpan.dll

I am trying to rid a friends computer of this virus. trojan_small. It is a
browser hi - jacker. It is very persistent. Does anyone know of a tool or
procedure to eradicate this virus? Thanks.

a google search on ctrlpan.dll turned up tons of info for removing this
trojan.
