Default Norton Antivirus and ZoneAlarm

Hi

I have recently loaded both NA and ZA. Since then starting the computer
takes quite a while. any suggestions how to fasten or smoothen this process?

Dirk

Take Norton back off.
I am afraid that Norton does tend to slow boot time quite a bit, and
with each upgrade it gets slower. A lot of people are dumping Norton
and changing to something like AVG free or nod32.

You are given two choices for startup with Nortons:
1) A comprehensive scan which takes about a long time.
or
2) File extensions only (no comprehensive scan)
This should give you a faster startup.

Look through your NA settings and change it to #2 if #1 is checked.
