If you really want to help get rid of those damn spammers, do it the
right way.
Copy>Paste the whole content of the email (including header) into
http://spamcop.net (registration is free)
This way a complaint will be sent to the offending ISP and the user who
sent the spam get's a warning and/or disconnected from their service (in
most cases).
This way you really stop those idiots.

Deleting the spam is not the way in my opinion.

Cheers

Right! Filtering it so that it no longer bothers you only treats the
symptoms. To address the actual problem requires reporting.

There is (or was?) a program called Spamnet which attempts to
do both. It filters for you, and reports your action on the ones that
get through to you. IIRC it weights your reports according to the
accuracy of your previous reports so that legitimately 'opted in' mail
services don't get unduly penalized.

I'm not sure how well this has worked in practice, but maybe
someone else here has experience with it or a similar program.
