Hello all
I hope someone can point me somewhere helpful I am running EZAntivirus version 6.1 with todays updates - no virus detected Whilst feeling paranoid I Went to Trend Housecall -again NVD BUT booting into DOS F-prot found Win32/N-Dii.B and successfully deleted it. My question is - what was it? I have checked out Trend and Frisk virus databases and found nothing Neither did a google turn up anything My guess is it was a false positive but I will probably never know, having been overhasty with the delete option Bob Iles remove spam to reply |

Very many thanks for your information Kurt
Now that my son is home from Uni I have to be extra vigilant :-( Seriously though, score 1 : 0 F-prot vs eTrust Bob kurt wismer wrote: > when in doubt, check vgrep (http://www.virusbtn.com/resources/vgrep/)... > i didn't find a Win32/N-Dii, but i did find a BAT/N-Dii which > corresponds to something symantec calls Bat.Natay@mm... it's a batchfile > based mass mailer (email worm)... > > -- > "when surveys of all the world's countries are done, > canada frequently rates number one. > are we the best country? well we'll never know... > there's nowhere else we can afford to go." > |
