NEXT-GEN Madden Commercial video - CGI - not real-time, not in-game
http://www.hardwired.hu/dl.php?id=2969&dl=1 http://xboxmovies.teamxbox.com/xbox...Gen-Commercial/ http://movies.teamxbox.com/madden_n...l_nextgen_1.wmv the actual NEXT-GEN Madden game (of which there are NO pictures or video of) is not for a specific platform. Xbox360 and PlayStation for certain. probably for Nintendo Revolution and IBM PC as well. Unlike previous reports, as well as what I said in previous posts, the Next-Gen Madden Commercial was pre-rendered CGI, not real-time. part of it (Sack Cam) was older- an in-motion version of what we saw as a rendered CGI concept picture. most of it was newer CGI footage, from the screenshots seen this last week that were *thought* to be realtime (but are not) So, the commercial was basicly ALL CGI. however the main part of it looked badly animated. and I expect the real nextgen Madden games on Xbox360, PlayStation3 and Revolution to animated much, much better. but will they be able to keep the graphics detail and quality up? my guess is, Yes and NO. better textures, better pixel shading, but worse image quality, less anti-aliasing and filtering, and motion blurring. well, E3 isnt far away now. another possibility to keep in mind, the main portion of the commercial (minus the amazing Sack Cam sequence) *might* have been using assets from the actual game, (player models) but beefed up with extra anti-alasing and other effects. much like the part realtime-part CGI endings in Tekken 4. which used in-game (replay) models but were done up with FSAA and such. ultimately though, I do expect next-gen ATI and Nvidia graphics processors (console and PC) to be able to handle this level of graphics (the Madden Commercial) |

<snipped ****> Another ****ing Madden game with updated graphics? I don't know whether to laugh or cry at the "news". What next, Tekken 6 to have "updated character models"? Halo 3 to "look a bit better"? Bear "shits in woods"? Can't wait to hear it. Apologies for propogating the crosspost, but I don't know where it originated from. What is the point of a pre-rendered CGI commercial? "Hey, check out these graphics. No, the game won't look anything like this, we just wanted to pull your chain." |

CGI does little for me (and I think most people) when it comes to judging a future games quality ![]() Bring on the REAL next gen videos - then we can talk ![]() -- ================== www.realityfakers.com ================== |
