What version of 3DMark ?

I downloaded a couple of versions of 3DMark and got completely different
scores of them. Which one do most people use for testing? Also is there a
site that can give you tips on tweaking your system for the maximum
performance?

well most seem to run mark03 (dx8 tests) and mark05 (DX9 test).

3DMark03 tests DX9 performance. 3DMark01 is the DX8 only version.

I'd been running so many of em to test some stuff latly its a blur. 2000 was
7, 2001 8, 2003 8&9, and now 2005 is fully 9 if I understand futurmarks
claims. Anyway if your running a newer card most ppl run just mark03 &
Mark05 for comparing.
