You can overclock it, but you can't wave a magic wand and transform it into
a 9700 or 9800. Take a look in the tweaking forum at www.rage3d.com "We Live For The One We Die For The One" <paul_mathews2002@yahoo.com.au> wrote in message news:kdcsovsrk5qtchhhot84p4nqjj1nhmha7m@4ax.com... > > > Stupid question yes. > > But i know you could flash some 9500 and others to higher speeds. > > Just thought i would ask. > > Thanks. > |

I like that.
I've got a 115Volt picture tube I'd like you to look at (touch). ![]() - We Live For The One We Die For The One stood up at show-n-tell, in tn2vovgvuif30qa2jg69llcva4p34s7obm@4ax.com, and said: > My Magic Soldering Iron can Do Magic man, just let me at it. > > Ill make a working card into a non working card just like DAT. > > Magic. > > > ![]() > > > > On Thu, 16 Oct 2003 15:06:19 GMT, "Skid" <skid2@comcast.NOSPAM.net> > wrote: > >> You can overclock it, but you can't wave a magic wand and transform >> it into a 9700 or 9800. I have a 9500 pro.
Flashing the bios overcame a limiter that ATI put in it to prevent OC'ing, plus it enabled unused pipelines, giving better performance. I got around 10-15% better performance in benchmarking software, and the card appears in properties as a 9700 pro (Although it obviously doesn't perform like one). http://home.mindspring.com/~warp11/ S "We Live For The One We Die For The One" <paul_mathews2002@yahoo.com.au> wrote in message news:kdcsovsrk5qtchhhot84p4nqjj1nhmha7m@4ax.com... > > > Stupid question yes. > > But i know you could flash some 9500 and others to higher speeds. > > Just thought i would ask. > > Thanks. > |
