Default Replacements for TuneUp Utilities ?

Hi, everyone !

I'm looking for programs to replace utilities in TuneUp package.
I manage to find free alternatives for most of them, and now I'm looking
for replacement of RegistryDefrag utility.
I found a program called regCompact, but it requires .NET and I would like
to avoid that thing as long as possible (I know that .NET will probably be
included in next service pack, but still...).
Is there a freeware program that can defragment and compact registry ?
TIA

P.S. If it's important, I'm running XP.
