Default Need program monitor

Is there a program which can monitor one selected program (exe file) and log
all files and registry entries which it tries to access?

I use this to monitor files, don't know if it does registry entries, too.

I tried it but, it crashed, and I want something to monitor a single
program, not all activity.

It has a filter where you can specify the program name.

I know, but unfortunately it crashes when I try to set it. That's why I'm
looking for something else

The SysInternals filemon and regmon are bulletproof. If they crash for you
then maybe you need to have a closer look at how you are trying to use
them.
