HELP!! ATI 9800 non pro!

I was going to purchase the 9700 pro but they don't seem to be selling
it any more in retail stores.

So i purchased the 9800 non-pro for 300.

I have an Nforce2 Asus a7n8x board and my previous video card was a
gf3.

Soon as i put the card in and booted it up. Everything in windows was
crupted. If i drag a window across is just screws all up visualy.

After messing arround with the advanced settings under the trouble
shooting section i turned down the acceleration one notch and
everything poped up correctly. Everything looks as it should. Except
when you move a window is goes all screwy. Or browsing on a webpage it
makes everything unreadable and basicly jumbles everything.

3d in games works great. I ran 3dmark and aside from the opening
little picture that comes up everything looked beautiful. It is some
sort of directx problem with windows i'm guessing.

So heres what i did.


I reinstalled the latest graphics drivers from Ati.
I reinstalled the latest Nforce drivers from ATI
I updated the Asus bios to the latest.

Didn't Fix it.

So I reinstalled windows. I didn't format just did a reinstall of it
I did all the previous things as i did before the reinstall of
windows.
I made sure i had directx9a. Reinstalled that again.

I'm just out of ideas.

I'm going to call tech support tomorrow and see whats up. Perhaps i
got a bad card or something i'm not sure. DirectX and the drivers say
it's the 9800 pro, which the box was not.

Anyone have any tips suggestions or fixes?
