Default AVG 6 free version question

I have the Freeware version of AVG 6 virus software on my system and whenever I send
e-mail it puts a notice at the end of the e-mail that it was checked with AVG then inserts
the URL for it web site.

Problem is that when I send e-mail to AOL people it gets returned because it has an URL in
it.

Is there a way to turn this off so it does not put the URL there>>

TIA

Open AVG control center, click on tab "Email-scanner", uncheck "certify
outgoing mail".

every once in a while you find out something by accident that's been bugging
you for ages ~ I often wondered why getting emails to friends with AOL was
such a problem, thanks
