Looked. Does it work with XP? Doesn't say so. Download instructions are a
little garbled in meaning. Is multiple downloads (?) and yes I would like
the source code too.

Are you BLIND? (http://www.tolvanen.com/eraser/faq.shtml)

Basic Information.
Q: "Which operating systems does Eraser support?"

A: Windows 95, 98, ME, NT 4.0, 2000 and XP (all versions, with or
without service packs). Eraser has not been tested on other platforms

Don't be cute. I was reading, quote----------

Download Eraser 5.3 for Windows 95, 98, ME, NT 4.0 and 2000 from
SourceForge (Jan 7, 2002; 751k). Free software.

Nowhere there does it include XP and I have programs that will NOT work on
XP so the question was a legitimate one.

http://www.heidi.ie/eraser/ is the correct URL for current versions of
Eraser compatible with XP as you wish. You'll have to get the source
code with your own efforts, yes, it's available, in case you thought
it wasn't.

Eraser works with XP. Also, it wipes slack space on one or more drives.
The AnalogX app will securely delete a file if you tell it which file
to delete. Eraser ca remove remnants of files on a drive, even if you
don't know they were there in the first place.
