No, Blinky is right, if you want these characters to look different than what he describes, you or your news client should add the correct MIME headers; without them you're posting as plain 7-bit ASCII. My message headers list the following: Content-Transfer-Encodin: 8bit Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-15 Mime-Version: 1.0 Instead of "ISO-8859-15" you should use your local character set.
