I have what must be the WIERDEST computer problem, EVER. Ever.
I have an APC Backup UPS 350 which all of a sudden won't allow me to turn it off--short of unplugging and disconnecting the battery. If I depress the power switch, the green "on line" flashes and it stays on. There is NO WAY to switch it off. I even reset the circuit breaker switch. No change. I'm stumped. Tips? LRH |

Have you tried holding the switch in on a slow count of 5 secs or so?

i was thinking the same thing. if you just click the power button it doesn't
go off but if you hold it down too long it goes into self test mode. "Richard Kawamura" <rkawa@concentric.net> wrote in message news:CYKWb.296060$na.450826@attbi_s04... > Have you tried holding the switch in on a slow count of 5 secs or so? > > Richard |

I did that (disconnected the battery)--I only had to disconnect it for like
3 seconds, and that seemed to fix it. LRH |
