My brother is trying to install an Epson 1260 scanner in XP.
Installation of the first driver available from the Epson site gave him the "has not passed windows logo testing" diagnostic but he proceeded anyway.Â*Â*EverythingÂ*workedÂ*andÂ*heÂ*scannedÂ*okÂ*untilÂ*heÂ*rebootedÂ*-Â*thenÂ* the programs in Start Up didn't start up. He rolled back the driver and everything was ok.Â*Â*ThenÂ*heÂ*startedÂ*toÂ*installÂ*theÂ*secondÂ*driverÂ*butÂ* stopped when he got the same diagnostic.Â*Â*HasÂ*anyoneÂ*hadÂ*thisÂ*problemÂ* with the 1260?Â*Â*HowÂ*doÂ*youÂ*getÂ*aroundÂ*it? Thanks a lot for your help. Trish |

Thanks for your input Seancito. My concern though is that he really did
have a problem after he installed one of Epson's drivers. So I'm still wondering if someone has had a good experience with any 1260 drivers so I can recommend it to him. Thanks again, Trish Seancito wrote: > Trish wrote: >> My brother is trying to install an Epson 1260 scanner in XP. >> Installation of the first driver available from the Epson site gave him >> the "has not passed windows logo testing" diagnostic but he proceeded >> anyway.
