Default Microtek i320...taking apart to clean under the glass?

I have a Microtek i320 scanner, purchased about 10 months ago. I'm happy
with the scanner running under XP Pro.

Lately I've noticed what looks like moisture under the glass. I wonder if
anyone here has taken that scanner apart or knows a site that explains how.
I've had other scanners, an HP 4P that came apart easily, and a Microtek
5600 that also was easy to clean.

Thanks in advance...

Melissa

Hi Melissa,

Should be one of two ways:

1. Take off the lid and see if you have a phillips head screw in each
of the hinges. Un-screw them and it will allow you to slide the
scanner lid off to clean the glass.

2. The the lid off and see if you have a hole in the middle of the
scanner. Stick a pencil head in there and it will "unlock" the scanner
top. Pull it off to clean the glass.

Hope that helps!

Jeff
