After installing the latest driver v1.1.5 on my Minolta 5400, I noticed
that the ROM version is 1.10 (shown in the area left to the Help button). Is this the latest microcode version? I recall reading that it takes some extra step to load the microcode when installing v1.1.5. Is that a fact? Thanks. |

Thanks. 1.10 is currently the most recent firmware version, and it apparently gets loaded in the (switched-on)scanner when you start the DiMAGE Scan Utility. Other software, in particular VueScan, reportedly benefits from having that firmware pre-loaded, before starting VueScan. Bart |

In the DiMAGE Scan Utility, just hover the mouse pointer over the top right info area. Bart |

I am not up to date, having DiMAGE Scan 1.1.2 and DS Elite5400 ROM Version - 1.09. Glad I saw your messages, Jim & Bart ! Regards, Alex alexUNDERSCOREstolsATxs4allDOTnl |

Many have reported that the streaking problem goes away with the newer firmware. |
