Hi all,
I need help regarding setup Nikon 5000ED...I hope in your help...I've bought this scanner few time ago...and the only purpose it's to get an easy image acquired to give to photo lab and have a print... I often use a positive film and I'd like to use easily this scanner...I don't know how to setup this one better... I would only acquire the whole film, save the image and print at shop photo lab...no special effect..nothing only acquire in order to print.... scan film for example at 3000 dpi... With Nikon scan sw 4.02 version I use...flag on "Use Nikon colour management" Monitor : Use my profile....Sony d_65.........I have got a Trinitron 21" Sony CPD-G500 the monitor is calibrated RGB: Adobe sRGB (1998) and then NO FLAG on Sharp Mask 16 bit selected Digital Ice : On---normal Curve level....no modify No scan ehanancer...No scaneer extra... Why every photo scanned is dark....few light...every time is it possible I have to modify the level and in this case I don't know how much...I saw there is a buttom...Automatic...but my friend use change red...green and blue channel with cursor....no possible,... I hope in a single setup for each positive film...not for each single image to acquire..... If I put flag using scan ehancer on Nikon scan 4.02 sw on toolchest...the acquisition is very brilliant...the colour seems more true.... Is it possible that I should change for each photo a different setup on toolchest...for example level scan enhancer...or other parameters.... how much time in this should I take......?...too much... I only want acquire the whole film save each image and bring them to photo lab...to get print.... Please help me for the single setup....I would not change every time for each Please help me in the better setup...only setup for the scanner to have image...in tiff or jpeg...to bring them to photo lab Thanks in advance Stefano |

I suspect you might be picking up the wrong or a corrupted monitor profile. If that doesn't resolve the problem, switch the NCM off for the moment and select a 2.2 gamma setting.
